At Valley Waldorf City School we recognize the need for an enlivened and creative approach to education that is specific to our times.  Using a curriculum inspired by Rudolf Steiner, we believe in Waldorf education as an art form and a focal point for our cultural events. We also participate in the dynamic process of community building. Our community is dedicated to bringing alternative affordable private education to children and families in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles.

As Waldorf educators we hold the dignity of life and the human being at the center of our work. It is our responsibility to bear witness to what is happening in the world, to elevate the voices of marginalized people, to change the course of inequities, and to break down structural prejudice where it exists.

“ All knowledge pursued merely for the enrichment of personal learning and the accumulation of personal treasure leads you away from the path; but all knowledge pursued for growth to ripeness within the process of human ennoblement and cosmic development brings you a step forward.”
