GAMES / MOVEMENT EDUCATION
Tami brings her passion for teaching and depth of experience to the classroom (yard, field, gym).
She has been teaching her whole life. As a teenager, she taught gymnastics to little girls who wanted to be just like Mary Lou Retton. Then, as a college student, taught dance to students in an afterschool program and gymnastics at a Jewish Community Center. As a young adult, she taught ballroom dance to singles and couples who wanted to learn. Eventually, she studied movement and the space we live in at the Spacial Dynamics Institute and Waldorf Teaching at Touro University & Rudolf Steiner College and began teaching in Waldorf Schools.
That was just the beginning of the journey. For the past two decades, she has been teaching in Waldorf Schools in IL and CA serving as games teacher, circus camp director, and class teacher. Games / Movement Education through the grades her my first love, and what she is happy to return to!
Tami got her BA in History from Allegheny Colleye in Pennsylvania. She went on to get her MA in Education (Waldorf Emphasis) at Touro University & Rudolf Steiner College, Vallejo CA; She also has her Level 1 graduate of the Spacial Dynamics Institute located in Mechanicville NY.
